Ok...not a bad week. 1 pound down... :o)

Sunday, April 24, 2011
I am happy to report that 1 pound is down. I consider this an achievement because last week was a no weightloss, no weight-gain week. So I will take it. I just need to get through the next week, then I will be on my way. State testing this week, so it can be difficult to focus on anything else when this happens each year. Things will be downhill from that point, I just have to get there, so that I can focus on my weightloss and my full exercising regime. Kelsey can finally ride her bike, so now she and I can do some bike riding after we get in (Except on the day, I have class). There will be so much more time to get it together. Don't worry, the plan is to still watch what I eat, which will be good because the week, forces me to make my lunch, making it easier to put healthy choices. I CAN do this. :o)

Now for some other updates...

We finally received the new luggage we ordered. This was exciting because we were able to donate the old luggage as well. The set was about $59 bucks for the set. So I think that we got a good deal. The key to all of this is to buy a little at a time without going into any debt. So far so good LOL :o)

Today, we did the official Sign-up for the Disney Y.E.S. Program (each ticket was $134.00 for the three day ticket).

Disney Y.E.S. Program Syngery in Science

Here is the link to view the video information about the program

It was a toss up between that and the dining plan. Since we will pig out on the cruise, there was no need for the dining plan this time. Besides when thinking about the cost, we figured that Kelsey getting this educational opportunity is a once-in-a-lifetime event. You know you just never know. Something positive can happen and she could really begin her enjoyment of science.  Any educational exposure is worth it in our book. To have the combination of the fun and education?? That is awesome. While Kelsey her dad will be in the "class" Dudie and I will be heading to HS I think for a few hours just to get in some type of activity.  Of course doing this is taking some planning on my part because we do have the tickets to Universal Studios for that one day. But it will work.

After this next week, I will be putting together a preliminary plan for the days we will be at the world. The good thing is that we are cancelling our excursion and Remy's on the cruise I think. To do a more laid back approach to the cruising portion of the trip. I think that it will be worth it.

Thanks to my friend, Elantrice for helping with the decision. :o)

Until next time :o)!!!

Let's See... A Few updates!!!

Wow, decent week so far, I wonder what the rest has in store. :o)..

One thing that happened was that we are no longer a Guaranteed Homeless Family (LOL). We FINALLY have a room number on the cruise. After almost a year as GTY we are now part of the crew. No upgrades, but at least we got to stick with the 8C Category. I can just see the kids sitting in the window looking out and just enjoying the view. That picture, in my head, will be so awesomely priceless. It is just something about going on vacation and seeing the looks on those faces that make it all worth it. The pt jobs, the working hard, sacrificing.  It is truly one of God's true blessings. I will pay anyday to see the looks on my kids faces that they have from things like that. :o).  My sister said, "I think you should have gotten an upgrade". I say no way, not with my active little man LOL..

Ok, I was on twitter, and noticed that the Disney Park Blog posted an awesome tidbit about Mickey Mouse in Your Walt Disney Resort Room. At first, I thought wow, you mean to tell me we can pay for him to come and visit?  Not quite (based on the cost). But for $29.00 you can get what they call "Walking Mickey", which is really a large 4ft 8 airwalking balloon. I thought that was so cool, I immediately called Anthony and told him. You guessed it, I called and purchased it to be in our room at Bay Lake Tower (YEA!!!). The cost was too good to pass up and I can only imagine the looks on my little ones faces when they see him. Granted, I doubt we can take him with us on the cruise all blown up, but the agent said to bring a straw and deflate him like that. Works for us. Heres a pic:

Disney knows how to do it!!! I will still be making a another purchase for the little ones birthday while on the cruise, and maybe something extra for the oldest one so she wont feel bad. But the balloon is for both of them. One is enough.

I have to go to the doctor tomorrow (last minute appointment), and I know that all will be well. :o)

Until next time :o)!!!

Wow! What a week!!!!

Wow, where to begin...

The good thing is that I have 57 days left until V-Day!! I am at the point where I am no longer rushing it, because I just really want to enjoy the whole planning phase. I was able to buy the kids some additional clothing, and I realized that I am not really done. I have gotten about 3 outfits and they are like the dressy kind. Not really, but a little. Not good enough for them to be able to go to summer day care this summer. So I am still on the look out for those really casual (cheap) outfits that they can wear during those times (before, during and after vacation). So I still have a way to go. I am buying a little at a time. No one wants to go into debt over stuff like that, so it is better to do it in increments. Big Anthony and I can wait. I have bought myself a swim suit, that I plan to pair with my cover up LOL.. So I only needed 1 not multiples. This is the cool time to get all of this done. After our state testing next week, I will be in full force.

Reservations are done for Thanksgiving 2012, after this June vacation, let the Layaway spending begin to start paying the Disney Magic cruise off!! This should be easy, because we have some time to do this. Then this blog will continue on. Gotta hold myself accountable. Not sure, but something might be in the works sometime soon (Shhh!!!) LOL :o).

This past week, I began working out!It was no more than 30 minutes, but it was something and for that I am happy with myself. Now did I lose weight?? Heck no, that is where the weird week came in. But again, no weight gain, so I will take it. I just have to get my brain on the same page as my eating habits. It is really hard to break those, especially if you are an emotional eater. Which I think that I am (Self diagnosing here). LOL.. The strange thing is that there was not really any junk, just not as healthy as it should have been. Again, gotta get it together. 57 days does not leave me much time to get on board. My prayer is to at least lose 15 pounds, which I think is attainable.

This week, I did have an interview at a different school. As weird as it was, I think that I did ok, but they did let me know that they are going with another candidate. That explained why it was weird LOL. This is normal, when a candidate was already chosen prior to the interview process, and the rest is just a formality. I am fine with it, because it did give me some experience with interviewing, which I have not done since I have been where I am.  For that I am thankful. :o). Where I am, the surrounding is not bad at all (Thankfully). The only negative is the drive, but even that is not bad as most. So I have no issues being where I am.

Another thing that happened this week. I got a bonus from my PT job, so we decided it was time to purchase a notebook computer. It is a Dell Inspiron Duo. It has the tablet capabilities along with the standard keyboard. Both capabilities are awesome! That computer will be our taking on vacation, trips, etc computer. It is compact enough to take with you, yet big enough where I can get my work done. The tablet function is just perfect. I do own a NookColor, which is also awesome. I do not plan to use the computer to replace my Nook, because with all of the work I have to do, there is just so many other things that I can get done. The only negative thing having the PT jobs, is that I will still have to work, but it is worth it for us. Do I get tired, of course! but at the end of the day, they (along with my FT job) are a blessing. They came at the right time. It just takes additional planning to make sure that I have time for everything (Kids, family). Thankfully, I have had the time. I am in no way endorsing the computer, neither do I work for the company. Just giving my opinion on what I have in my possession.

Anthony's birthday is next Sunday. Not sure what will be done, just yet. I am sure that at least a dinner is in order. It is the day before our week of testing, so it will be hard for me to relax until it is all over.

Until next time :o)... More exercising is in the works for me :o)

What a Week!!

Sunday, April 10, 2011
Wow, it was truly a week indeed...

It started on Monday - Wednesday with our state testing, so I did not have time to do anything (including my actual job duties). It wasnt too bad, except for the one hiccup that involved a student. Even that was not too bad.

Of course, I had to work my pt job, but through  it all, I did make time to make my reservation for the cruise from Texas in Nov 2012!!!! I have to say that I was so in shock by the cost of those cruises, and at first I had the Dec 2012 (Christmas) cruise reserved but that lasted maybe 5 hours, then I made the change. When you see $7900 you do tend to be in shock. At least the cost went down because I made the change. After a day, that $7900 price went up to $8500!!! Yes you heard it right. Supply and demand is in effect indeed. Again, we made the change so no worries there for us. (Whew)

I finally bought a swimsuit. It was so cheap that I had to jump on it and to top it off, I looked good. I still have along way to go but it was a start. Oh and I did buy another camera. Not expensive (Thankfully) but something more compact. It is days like this, that I am thankful for what I have!

On the weightloss front. No change :o( But at least no gain. I am seriously going to do better. I will be adding in exercising this week. I think that should make a big change for me. Keep your thoughts with me. :o)

Until  next time :o)!

Not much change in weight this week..... More Vacation Updates

Sunday, April 3, 2011
Ho Hum... Not much change. Approximately .2 lbs. Not much but I will take it. I guess it is safe to say that no weight loss for this week. This is ok because I know that I just have to get better and more consistent... I did see the same Nutrisystem card at Walgreens for $134. Alot cheaper than the one at Costco, except it is only for three weeks. At this points I will take it just to see what happens. I am still doing WeightWatchers. Haven't done it perfectly, but I am getting there. I am seeing some results.

Vacation Update: See there is some decent news..
I finally obtained our Universal Studios Tickets. Yea!!!! I got them for an awesome price. I didn't think that I would find anything, but with some helpful information from a fellow Dis'er. I searched and BINGO! So now we will definitely be going. Now if I could get a 1 day ticket to Disney all would be well. But I am expecting to pay the normal pricing for that, so no worries there.

I did order the kids some clothes. Of course they were on sale. One of the pair of shorts for Kelsey is too little so that is one thing that I have to send back to Walmart.

I am still searching for a cheap swim suit for myself.   I have two awesome strapless maxi cover-ups, but no swimsuit. I guess I better add one to the scenario. LOL

Until Next Time...
