1.8 Additional Pounds Down.... I am getting there :o)

I am definitely getting there. I am just happy that I am making the attempt to stick with it.  I am now at 78 days before V Day!, I think that I can get some additional pounds off between now and then... Right? LOL.. I just need to keep the motivation and I will be good.

Bike Tour of Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Cay

Tuesday, March 22, 2011
Wow, I never thought that I would be able to find any kind of trip report on renting the bikes at Castaway Cay! Leave to the DISBoards to come thorough for me :o) (YES!!!)

Bike Tour of Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Cay

Something got me to thinking....

I was talking to a friend on yesterday about vacations. As the conversation progressed, my friend said those words that no Disney Fan ever wants to hear. It was the infamous "Next time, you need to do something non-Disney, and do something different". I admit that I was shocked at the statement especially coming from a friend . Now do I think that she meant any harm? Absolutely Not!

This got me to thinking... Why do most even care?

  1. Do they care because they plan on purchasing a vacation for you? If so, they should let me know.
  2. Do they feel it is their duty to save you from yourself, and "help" you find alternatives, even though you are fully aware?
  3. Are the jealous? There is no need for this.
  4. Are they TIRED of hearing the stories? If so, wouldn't they say so :o) LOL. Now this is not an issue for me as I only talk about the BIG stuff with fellow Disney fans. It makes life so much easier.
I just can not wrap my mind around why most tend to say some of the same things. My family is the main culprit, but they have come to accept that this is who we are as a family, and this is what we like to do.

I am a DVC owner, so it stands to reason, that alot of my vacations will be Disney related. No excuses, just facts. It is what I enjoy.

Will we go to alternative vacation spots? Most definitely! Will they be for weeks at a time? I can not say. I have a list of things that I want to do and places I want to go. for instance, I would love to go back to California, I want to see the Grand Canyon, New York, the East Coast (as a whole), Georgia, South Carolina. etc. Those are the main ones :o)

I just thought that I would get this off my chest. It is amazing how others feel about your choices. At the end of the day, they are just that, our personal choices. I do not feel the need to inform others that their vacation choices are wrong, etc. I want everyone to go some where (Anywhere). I get so happy as if I am going too. We have been vacationing with our children since my oldest was 7 months old, and as long as we are able, we have no plans on stopping any time soon. Even if it is with Disney.

I am putting this here so that I will not forget it!!

BTW everyone, a little tip for those of you braving the sandy beaches at either Nassau or CC. Take a little bottle of baby powder. Before you put your shoes or flip flops back on, dust some baby powder on your feet. It repels the sand and you don't get it in your shoes, stateroom, or anywhere else

Until next time!!

Ok Finally!!! Another 2 pounds down :o)

This past week was spring break for me, and I have to say that I am so proud of myself. I made a conscious effort to be mindful of what I am eating and to limit or not eat those foods that I have been a thorn in my side (i,e. Hershey's Drops, etc). LOL :o). Results: In a week 2 additional pounds lost (YEA!!!). Now the hard part is when I go back to work. There are limited places to eat, and those that are close are more fast food places, and those that are decent are too far. I can take my lunch but there are no microwaves, so I have to figure out what I can take that wont need heating or cooling. I think I will figure it out. Keep me in your thoughts :o). I think that I will be at least XX pounds lighter. At this point I will take it!

My vacation is less than 90 days away. We continue to be excited. I still have a few odds and ends to buy for the kids (i.e. clothes and shoes). Mostly because they are deciding that it is a good time to grow and have growth spurts. LOL. Not a problem, because they are healthy and happy so that works for me.

I looked on yesterday and it turned out that our flight times were changed on AirTran for the vacation. We were not upset at all, because things like that happen. It happened last year, and matter of fact, it happened twice before our vacation. Again, not a big deal. That time we were notified, not this time so far. The good thing about the change is that we were able to move seats closer to the front without paying the extra surcharge. We did pay the $6 originally for the seats. The seats we moved to were an additional $6 but we were not charged. The flight time going only changed by 59 minutes and the airplane changed from a 3X3 configuration to a 2X3 configuration. Which works for hubby. Now he will be across the aisle from us with just one other person. On the way back the flight changed to 3 minutes before the original flight, again the same configuration. Both are still non-stop so far. I am not sure if there will be additional changes, but either way, we will make it work.

Its back to work this week. Not long now before the summer. !!

Until next time :o)!

Creativity and Science Collide Inside Seuss Landing

Ok, as I was just doing a quick looksy at information about Universal Studios, I came across the above information. On day one of our trip, we plan to visit Universal Studios. I figure we would not need a whole day so we get in about 10AM, and will probably head to that park about 2:00 PM. We had already decided to visit Island of Adventures, mostly because of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, The Spider Man ride (because Dudie loves him, even if he cant ride it), and the Hulk ride (for my two oldest - the hubby and 8 year old daughter). To see my husband and daughter doing the whole high five bit when they saw the YouTube video of that ride is priceless. So Island of Adventure it is. When I saw this blog about Seuss Landing, it just sealed it for me. Since the hubby and daughter will be off riding big rides, I think that myself and "Dudie" will make our way to Seuss Landing and take it from there.

Until next time :o)

Still just 1 pound down :-/ .... But I found a good deal at Costco (Nutrisystem)

Friday, March 4, 2011
Still trying to do this and do it right. I have actually been doing well, but I guess as long as I have not gained anything, its better than nothing. Thank God for small victories :o).

Pray for me :o)!

I was at Costco just now, and I see that for $249, you can get a 35 day supply of Nutrisystem. It includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am seriously considering this mostly because the price is awesome. I am not sure if you can choose your own foods, because I had the 2 year old with me, but if so, that would make that an even more awesome deal. Being able to choose the meals, would mean that one could be just that much more convenient. I have seen on QVC, that they have a similar package deal, but you do not get the choice of foods without paying an additional fee. In today's economy, that may or may not work out financially. I get paid soon, so I just have a few days left to decide. By the way, they also have a similar deal for 24 Hour Fitness.

I will get it together, I promise. Its my 39th  birthday month, so this will be interesting

Until, Next Time :o)

Made it to the 105 Day Mark - Made my Dream Reservations on the Cruise :o)

I stayed awake last night to make my famous reservations for the cruise. Of course some of the items are subject to change (such as the nursery). Dudie is 2 and will turn 3 the 2nd day of the cruise, and he is potty trained. As a result, he gets to go into the Oceaneers Club, but I reserved the nursery slots just in case. Of course we nailed Remy's and Palo (Yea!!). Finally, some time with the husband Alone!! :o).
